The ISAAC project was presented at EUBCE 2016 (Amsterdam, 6-9 June 2016).

The ISAAC project (Increasing Social Awareness and ACceptance of biogas and biomethane) was presented at EUBCE 2016 (Amsterdam, 6-9 June 2016), that represents one of the key events on both a European and global scale for companies and professionals operating at the top end of the biomass and bioenergy sector.

On this occasion institutional stakeholders and experts were made aware of the non-technical barriers that hinder a more widespread diffusion of biogas/biomethane plants in Italy. A special focus was given to social barriers and how the project intends to overcome them (for example, through the implementation of participatory processes in 2 pilot territories).

Furthermore the event, combining an international scientific conference with an industry exhibition, allowed an active debate on the issue of biogas and anaerobic digestion with representatives from research, industry and politics.
