The educational tour in the schools moved again for the 4 time; now it approached the Institutes of Ragusa, Vittoria, Scicli and Modica.
The Sicily Region was the scenario for the latest performance of Isaac Educational Tour. Especially Ragusa municipality, chosen because of its vocation in agriculture, livestock and food production of high quality.
Four schools were involved:
- Technical Institute “Majorana” (Ragusa);
- Seconday Technical Institute “E. Fermi” (Vittoria);
- Technical Institute for agriculture (Scicli);
- Professional Technical Institute for hospitality training and agriculture “Principi Grimaldi” (Modica).
A total of 500 students were present during the activities organised by Legambiente and CNR-IIA .
The first meeting dealt with the global climate change and renewable energy; the following seminar was focussed on biogas and biomethane with the final visit to the small anaerobic digestor, the prototype developed by CNR-IIA and installed on a vehicle

On thursday 9th of March there were also public events dedicated to farmers and citizens, in order to discuss about biogas and biomethane. From ISAAC partners were present: Beppe Croce for Legambiente and Chimica Verde, Lorenzo Maggioni for CIB, Enrico Facci for AzzeroCO2 e Marco Segreto for CNR-IIA.
